Subject: mozilla thunderbird main password

yeah yeah :-) I know, how can I be so stupid, to forgot the password, or not to put it somewhere safe :-)

Well, I was having problems with the hotmail account, and while trying to make a new password for hotmail, I did also make a main password for mozilla.

Now I cannot receive new messages. I just did a new install, but again....mozilla asked me for this main password.

Is there a possibility, that a new install will NOT work at all? Am I doing something wrong? And, is there another way of installing a new mozilla thunderbird, and having no main password?

Als u opnieuw installeert zonder uw profielgegevens te verwijderen wordt het bestaande profiel opgepikt, inclusief de instelling voor een hoofdwachtwoord. Ik zou u adviseren het hoofdwachtwoord te herinitialiseren of een nieuw profiel aan te maken, dat zou zonder hoofdwachtwoord moeten lukken. U begint dan wel opnieuw met instellen, maar daarop was u neem ik aan al ingesteld met een nieuwe installatie. Het voordeel van de eerste optie is dat u dan geen verdere instellingen of opgeslagen berichten kwijt bent.
