I just downloaded firefox... coloured images, boxes, items on my browser are blurry/watermarked or have a white X over them

Downloaded Firefox and colour images, box, pics have what i can only discribe as watermark or "X"

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
