can not get firefox to update

Am set for automatic updates. Update history shows no updates have been installed. Also get update messages. When I click "update" computer goes into endless cycle of trying to connect

Go to www.getfirefox.com, and download Firefox 21. Install it over your current install of Firefox to update it.
