Thunderbird hanging, not responsive

I've been having issues with Thunderbird randomly hanging over the last few weeks. It's always been slow to upload all my gmail messages, so I let it get done with that before I start reading. However, now it randomly decides to hang forever. It generally happens when I delete or move an email to another folder. It doesn't complete the function. I can click on other emails, but it doesn't open them. The UI just sits there with the blue progress bar shimmering away, forever. None of the window control work (File, X, etc.). I have to use the Task Manager to end the Thunderbird task. When I start it up again, the message will be moved or deleted, and I can view more messages until it decides to hang again. This happens about four times per day.

I have an MSI GS75 Stealth 9SF laptop, running intel Core i7, Windows 11 (up to date), and the most current version of Thunderbird.

I didn't see anyone else commenting on Thunderbird hanging frequently, so I'm wondering if it's just me.

I'm not sure if that's the right topic. I'm using Firefox for Android version 137.0.

1. A new problem has popped up. Whenever I have a field/box to type in (I like this one), when I tap in that box the keyboard pops up, of course. The problem is, when I have typed enough to fill that box, instead of scrolling up so I can continue typing, the box falls below/behind the keyboard.

Sometimes, I can raise it back above the keyboard, but the moment I start typing again it falls right back behind the keyboard again. Makes it really difficult to type.

Note: It didn't happen in this text box, but it seems to happen in every other text box I type in on any other site.

2. It would be really, really great If you would give us a way to search for open tabs. When you're on a phone and you can only see a handful of tabs at once, it's really difficult to find what you're looking for when there are lots of tabs open.

3. Kind of in connection with that, it would also be wonderful if we could move more than one tab at a time. I can select as many tabs as I want, although I don't know why because it will not let me move those selected tabs as a group. I can only move one at a time.

For example, I might want to search (item 2) for all the Amazon tabs I have open. Then, I want to select all those tabs, and move them (item 3) all together to a different spot to keep them all in one place. Or, even better, put them in some sort of group tab called Amazon within my list of open tabs .

It would be similar to opening a new window in Windows and keeping all my Amazon tabs in that window.

Thanks for your help.

Note: I got no indication that this got submitted to the community when I hit the submit button, so I tried again. And still nothing seems to happen when I hit the submit button. It does not say it was submitted. I don't get a check mark and it get support part of the process. I just can't seem to submit these questions.

Hello,

As my title says, there's no Closed Captioning available on ABC.com. It was working last night but tonight it's gone. It's only an issue on FF for Desktop. There's no problem on FF for Android and also no problem on Chrome for Desktop. There's no problem on any other video website like YouTube, Peacock, etc. It's just ABC.com. I tried restarting FF, reloading the website, clearing the cache, etc.

There have been quite a few FF (Desktop) updates over the past few days. There was even one first thing this morning before I tried watching something on ABC.com. I wonder if an update is causing this glitch.

Any ideas??

Thanks, Andre'a

I've had a Google Voice account since its beginning; I had a Grand Central account before Google bought it.

I make calls rarely, every few months. I wanted to make one yesterday, but couldn't get audio to work. When I used the 'audio settings' the indicator responded to my speech; neither test for ringing or speakers made a noise. I could record a greeting and listen to a greeting which, one would think, would use the same facilities. All other audio apps worked. I called a friend, who didn't hear me nor did I hear him. I tried openphone.com, which recorded and played back properly.

After futzing with it for a day I tried Opera, which worked.

I have 2 different sets of audio hardware; both didn't work in Google Voice in Firefox (but worked elsewhere). voice.google.com had permissions in Firefox. I've done all the troubleshooting at google.com and asked on their forum (no response.) I read every page DDG returned, found nothing applicable.

Relating new info to previous post a few days back. I was able to get to a secure site and browse thru pages on the site, but one page would not work. Error message is from the website. It will just not work. Can't remeber if I tried Chrome on this particular, but I have had to use Chrome on others.

New info... When I go into Troubleshooter mode, Firefox works on the page at the site just fine. What's different about Troubleshooter versus regular mode?

For some reason after a few (sometimes only 1) use of "copy/paste" stops working. I'm running the current version Firefox 137.0 (aarch 64) on an Apple M1 desktop running Sequoia 15.3.2

For example if I highlight a webpage URL and copy, then try to pase (in an email message for example) all the fields are grayed out, paste is not available as a choice. So I try Command-V and no joy.

this occurs frequently but not always, and usually into a session online of a few minutes or more, the problem never occurs using Chrome

If I restart the computer, that sometimes fixes the problem, but often does not.

So wierd

Hi, For the last week or so, when I have a tab open, say for a game, and I want to open another game, I have it set to open a new tab. However, when I select a bookmark, the new tab opens, the new tab is blank. I have tried this various ways and seem to get the same results. What can I do to correct this? What I have been doing is having to close out of Firefox and then open it back up and select my bookmark. Running Firefox 137.0 64bit Thanks Marc
