Firefox stops loading websites after Mac lock/unlock

Firefox stops loading websites after Mac lock/unlock I am using a MacBook with Apple M1 and Firefox 151.0.2 (aarch64). Whenever I lock my MacBook and unlock it later, or leave it idle for a longer period and then log back in, Firefox stops working properly. It appears to stop resolving DNS requests. Every website remains stuck with messages such as **"Waiting for http://..."**, and no pages load. This issue affects all websites. At the same time, Chrome works without any problem and is able to load the same websites successfully, which suggests that the network connection is working correctly. The only workaround is to force quit Firefox and start it again. After restarting, everything works normally until the next lock/unlock cycle. This issue occurs consistently after the Mac is locked or left idle for an extended period. It is significantly impacting my productivity and reduces the reliability of using Firefox as my primary browser.

Please suggest the way to fix this.

Can you update first to verify this also happens in current versions for you? Do you use any security software like Sophos and similar?

The details of your connections as seen from within the browser can be observed in about:networking tab.

If you want to rule out DNS you can set/disable/change your DNS–over–HTTPS settings to some other value or provider to compare.
