Take a look at this article and see if anything will help -

Unable to install add-ons https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/unable-install-add-ons-extensions-or-themes

Also, a custom config.js could be the culprit.

This did NOT help me at all. I could find only 1 file in your list of 4, i deleted it like you said, restarted firefox, and addons or themes still won't install, (i get the same corrupt crap.) You guys messed up the code, and are trying to deflect.

Please give me a working solution to enable the addons to be added to firefox.

I opened FF, and it said there is an update, same as it always did. So I clicked the update button, it updated , but it was all different, it said I should create a new profile to save all my info. When I did, all my info was gone! I tried to go to addons and themes to re-install everything the way I had it, but every time I tried to download and install an addonn or theme, it said it was corrupt. I got a support email from another tech that told me to delete 4 extension files, i could only find one he listed, restarted FF and it still wouldn't work.

The addons i want are no script, uBlock origin, nordvpn for firefox, (Malwarebytes browser guard, I have a paid sub) duckduckgo essentials, Disconnect and decentraleyes. They have all been working perfectly, and i forgot the theme i was using, but it was made by Madonna.

So i uninstalled FF and reinstalled, it did the same thing, prompted me to create a new profile, when i say no, it just closes out, and i can't install it. So i created a new profile, and am posting from the new "profile" that i can't install anything to.

What the hell is going on?...respectfully. I forgot to mention, FF informed me of an update, to 102.1 from 102. So I updated, nothing.

jazluvr90, This user determined that ESET is the culprit behind installing Add-ons -

Not sure why it would say to update but there is no release of 102.1 but only 102.0 currently release unless your using beta which should only be for testing purpose only.

There is Fx 102.0.1 or will be officially soon in some hours.

still in works at moment https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/102.0.1/releasenotes/ though there is this https://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/102.0.1/releasenotes/

https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/102.0.1/

Some people not used to Firefox version numbers tend to omit the 0 so for example the 102.1 was meant to be 102.0.1

I have tried this 3 TIMES and it still gives me the refresh option, or the addons can't be installed cuz they're diseased
