HP zBook 64 bit with Windows 10 running Firefox 91.3.0 (32 bit)

Hello looooooonnnng time user here. Since the last update, Firefox is now opening Adobe pdf files internally in another tab -- not in the external application. Our firm makes use of some fairly complex pdf's and they are not displaying correctly within Firefox. I would like to return to the previous behavior where attached pdf files are opened in Adobe Acrobat DC.

Thanks, Dean Scott

Hi Dean, this is easy to set in Firefox: View and edit PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer.

However, you posted under the Thunderbird category, and I'm not sure whether there is a setting in Thunderbird for where to send PDF attachments. Would that normally be controlled by the Windows "default app" setting?
