With the most recent updates, I continually receive "if you want Firefox to remember password". When i select "Never Remember Password for This Site" it does not place that site in the exceptions list.

So each time go to the same site I always have the same request being asked.

I do not wish Firefox to remember this site.

How do I rectify this problem?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Do you otherwise have a problem with storing a new name and password if you try that?

Note that the password exceptions are stored in the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder alongside with the names and passwords (disabledHosts).

Actually it is recording the site I do not wish to remember password.

However if i revisit the same site again, then I go through the whole process of "do you want Firefox to remember password".

This problem first started to appear about three updates ago.

Getting to the stage where I may need to look other other browser providers.

hello, you can disable that in the firefox menu ≡ > options > security panel (though firefox will store any saved passwords locally on your computer of course and not on the internet, unless you opt in to a service like sync).

I think I will uninstalled this version of FF and install an older version FF.

As this problem is obviously a bug issue that is yet to be resolved.
