When i try to go to youtube and watch a video it freezes on any video. I have downgraded firefox upgraded firefox, uninstalled flash and reinstalled I have tried older versions of flash,I have cleaned temp files, I have reset firefox, I have disabled protected mode on flash, I have restarted firefox in safe mode. I do not know what else to possibly do. I cannot use hardware acceleration due to my video card not supporting it because my letters on firefox look weird when I have that checked. Im not sure what else to do I have even tried the HTML5 on youtube and still no change. I do not like any other browsers because firefox is the best in my opinion and i have it set up the way I want it. I only use Fast dial thats it. If anyone could help that would be great.

Hello, it has been a while since this was submitted, but if you are still having this issue please try to disable hardware acceleration for video improvements and the font issues that you are described.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  1. Open Firefox Options window (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:
    • In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options for Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
    • In Firefox 28.0 and previous versions, click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
  2. In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the Advanced tab, then select General.
  3. In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  4. Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Thank you.

That didnt work because I keep it disabled all the time because it never works right. Thanks tho.

You might be able to delete the temporary files to make sure that it is not a cache issue affecting the video performance:
