Low speaker output

I had a new computer installed. The output from the speakers is almost inaudible in Firefox, but it's better on other browsers. The tech said that it's a Firefox issue, not a speaker issue--she said the speakers are OK.

Firefox itself doesn't have a volume slider, but some extensions or add-ons might be affecting sound. A simple troubleshooting step is to check if any extensions are interfering.

Click the three horizontal lines (the "hamburger" menu) in the top-right corner of Firefox.

Go to Add-ons and themes.

Click Extensions.

Temporarily disable any add-ons that manage media, audio, or video, and then restart Firefox to see if the issue is resolved.
