Passwords on Thunderbird
How can I reset the Master Password for Thunderbird if I never (knowingly) set one?????
I set up Thunderbird a few nights ago and accessed my att.net, gmail.com and icloud accounts with Thunderbird.
Then, tonight, when I tried to access my emails, I get stymied by needing a password for Thunderbird which I am pretty sure I never set up.....
Now, I can't access email on Thunderbird..... FRUSTRATING!!!!
How can I reset my passwords if I can't get into Thunderbird's Master Password list??????
VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!
HELP!!

Perhaps refer to the user support documentation. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/protect-your-thunderbird-passwords-primary-password
I do not know of a way to set a primary password without following the instructions in the link. It is not something that happens accidentally, so I would counsel you to be very sure it is a primary password you are looking for. Frequently when antivirus products drop their bundle and fail like some past date politician Thunderbird asks for account passwords again because the AV is messing with the connection.
Would you please post a screenshot of the request of a password?
Are you using a security key with AT&T and an app-specific password with iCloud?
