I tried everything. Suddenly a week ago this requirement popped up on my Thunderbird user screen and I received an email from Thunderbird that someone had changed my master password which I didn't know that I even had as I never used a password when signing on. The instruction for removing the master password doesn't work and I can't reset my password without knowing what it is set at. I cannot use Thunderbird due to this problem which just cropped up last week. Help! Fred Mackaman @frontier.com

edit: removed phone# and email address from spambots and public.

No one from Thunderbird is going to send you a request to change your email password. Your email provider might. Your email password is between you and your email provider. You should contact them for help.
