widevine plugin crashes

Ever since version, I think 67, widevine has been crashing always. My computer is locked sown in that programs will not run out of AppData and I have a firewall that blocks programs by default. My firewall log does not show an issue. I suspect widevine runs out of appdata. Is ther a way to move it to a standard location like programfiles?

Is it the browser crashing, or widevine? Have you contacted https://widevine.com/ support?

widevine crashes. The problem is indeed that it executes out of AppData. I found the widevine DLL's in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile name>\gmp-widevinecdm and gmp-gmopenh264. When I modified my Software Restriction Policy to allow these folders it runs. This is a security hole since anyone can modify this folder. I have changed the securty tokens of these flders t disallow update, except from admins but this is not ideal. It would be best if Firefx could be told to look in Program Files for this software.
