Thunderbird email not working at all the last 3 days.
I've used Thunderbird as my email for years and love. Three days ago it would not send nor receive emails. The message says, "Sending of message failed. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol. The configuration related to smtp.iinet.com must be corrected". My email carrier said there was no solution until Thunderbird fixed whatever was going on. I work from home and email is critical to my work. I have NO idea how to fix. Please help.

FIXED IT!! This is what a reply said to do except I had to change to min 1 not 2. It instantly fixed it.
changing the preference security.tls.version.min to 2 from the default 3, in Config. editor.

I tried to fix it and ended up deleting my e-mail box. With the help of a kind call center person I added the e-mail box back in and was then was guided to a search box under options which led to a table of advanced settings. I was advised to change the last setting on that page. My e-mail started flowing again but now my inbox is severely compromised -- I can't change anything in the toolbar -- change views, for example. Lots of other things. It is a mess and I don't know how much longer I can cope. I have been using Thunderbird since it was called Eudora and I have always sworn by it but this latest update might be the end of the line. I am totally dependent on e-mail for work as well.
