I installed Ublock, downloadhelper, etc.....as ADD- ON's .....but I cant access them specifically downloaderhelper because the little icon that sits in my tool bar is gone.....and I went to the options and add-on page and there is not anything that fixes the problem....probably a setting somewhere.....but without that icon ...I can't access the download helper program.. The program allows me to copy Youtube videos to my computer....and guitar backing tracks that I use to teach guitar... The downloadhelper manual is no help either. this happened recently after an update....I now have 7.2 or something.... I dont want to switch to Chrome.

Chosen solution

Just right click on the toolbar, and choose Customize. Then you can drag and drop the add-on icon to the toolbar. Follow this KB article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars#w_customize-the-menu-or-the-toolbar

Do you have a >> on the Navigation toolbar immediately to the left of the "3-bar" / "hamburger" button for the Open menu feature??

If so, click that >> and see if those icons are in "overflow" and will drop-down.

I recall another user with one of those "downloadhelper" add-ons mentioned that he found the icon in "overflow" immediately after installation hiding in "overflow" and that add-on caused another icon to "disappear" at the same time.
