I suspect if we we fail due to lack of Human resources, that may be because we are aiming for a polished version of a KB article, whereas we could release a provisional one containing at least some of the basic information.
I agree that KB contributors don't look for and are not able to do the same things, but let's clarify:
- Creation or full rewrite (Michael for all, Scoobidiver for desktop and sync, Ibai for sync, Michelle for mobile):
Over the last months for desktop articles, only Michael and I have created or completely rewritten articles, so it means the other KB contributors don't care or don't feel comfortable to do that whatever the polish. I explained above why I do no longer want to create or edit articles.
For the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings case, it seems to me a waste of energy to try to do a perfect article with fine videos.
- Review (Michael, Scoobidiver, Alice, Chris, Michelle):
Over the last months, I was a major KB contributor but couldn't approved my own edits. Alice reviewed some of my edits because she felt comfortable with the article topic, but let other reviewers review some of my edits, some was reviewed by Chris once the last revision was older than one month, and two weeks ago, in a way to learn how the KB works, Michelle reviewed also some. But there are still others to review.
- Minor or normal edit (all KB contributors):
Many occasional KB contributors edit articles. Alice and I tried to review them in a short delay (less than one week) if they add some value.
Examples saying developers are aware of the Mac OS problem, or that Google Toolbar is no longer supported by Google. Add the full information later, if and when developers catch up with new Mac OS features; and when someone has time to write about the workarounds to give Google Toolbar style features using alternative methods.
