To capture all new emails correctly, I have to close and restart Thunderbird
Using the get new mails button or the time interval setting may find some messages but not all. The imap mail server is mailin.telia.com. I have been using Thunderbird for several years without such issues until now several months ago. Are there any new settings I should be avare of?

You'd have to check with your email provider Telia about the correct server settings. Presumably they do have a support web site for this.

'Encrypted Password' looks suspicious. Typically this is 'Normal Passord', and I'd be surprised if Telia were different. In any case, check with them.
Tank you for your response. I will do so. However, still it puzzles me that it works at program start-up but not while it is running.
