Unable to write the email to the mailbox.
Windows 10 Thunderbird Version 159.0 (64-bit)
Today, Nov. 5, opened Thunderbird & got the Error message: Unable to write the email to the Mailbox. I have no idea why this happened. Turned off the antivirus for email, but that did no good.
Thunderbird worked fine yesterday

Do you have enough free space in your hard disk?
If free space is ok, you can try to start Thunderbird from troublshoot mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird
There is plenty of free space. The "Unable to write" problem has cleared up, but "Windows not responding" is the problem now. Still working on it.

Not Firefox. Opera. Used Norton Utilities to clean up files.
