The Brightcove is a HTML5 player.

Firefox supports the HTML5 player as you can test what your system supports at https://www.youtube.com/html5/ as all check marks should be blue.

If a couple are red then perhaps you do not have a media feature pack installed if you have a N or KN version of Windows 10. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-video-audio-problems-firefox-windows

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) to see if there are media related messages.
