I have to keep refreshing Firefox so pages can go back to previous page

The web pages won't go back to previous page - After I refresh this works, but then happens again a few days later.

What I do is right click the link and select Open In New . . . . When I am done, I close that window and I am back where I started.

Also, the page you started from may have updated.
