Help! When I try to change the text color in an email reply it brings me to the pop up to change the color but when I hit OK nothing changes. I've tried so many times/ways to change text color but it always stays black. I use to use this feature a lot to highlight certain text an it's frustrating because I can't do it anymore.

Hello. Since installing Thunderbird v91.5 on my new Windows 11 laptop, I get a Secure Connection Failure when trying to get add-ons. This doesn't happen with my other PC's running Windows 10. Anyone have a solution? -- Thanks!

How do I mark a message in the spam folder as not being spam? Similar questions say to adjust this in webmail. I dont understand what this means. I have a gmail address and if I go into gmail directly there does not appears to be a spam folder there

My text defaults to 'paragraph' giving me double spacing when I type several lines of type. When I switch over to 'body text' it doesn't stick. It reverts back automatically to 'paragraph'. I have opened preferences and turned off 'paragraph', but again it just reverts back to 'paragraph'

Hi, I am new to Thunderbird and not very computer savvy.

I have successfully set up my mail account and am trying to apply filters to incoming mail. The filter is very simple: If the message contains FROM "@mail.zillow.com" send the message to the ZILLOW folder (under that email address).

I have checked the filter log and it says "could not get filter db". I have tried to run the filter manually - no go.

I have tried to read about others who have a similar issue and it talks about debugging. I'm sorry. I do not know how to do this.

I'm running the latest thunderbird (91.6.2) on windows 10 and would like to mark the emails I receive as read after I forward or reply to them, is there any way I can do this?

Hi, I have a few email accounts set up in Thunderbird (rel 91.7.0 32bit, Win10 21H1). On the work email (the first account) I receive complete notifications when receveing new email (sound and popup with sender/subject). On the personal one, I can only hear the sound and see the new mail red icon in the traybar but I can't see any preview. As far as I can tell, the notifications setting are not account-specific, and I would expect all accounts to behave the same in that respect. Does anybody have idea/suggestions to activate the popup alert also for the other account? Many thanks in advance Luca

Unified folders no longer displays inbox email list in the email inbox window. for 10 email accounts It does display them checking in the individual email accounts by clicking each individual account.

re downloaded the insulation file 91.7.0 64 bit and re installed - no difference

Hi Thunderbird,

in my office I am forced to use Outlook and so I am used to the keyboard shortcuts defined in Outlook. One of the often used keyboard shortcuts is CTRL+SHIFT+M to start the writing of a new mail.

In Thunderbird this shortcut seems to be hard-coded to 'Move/Copy message to previous target folder Again' which is basically not a bad function, if someone is used to it. But as a user who loves keyboard shortcuts I am sometimes struggling with this feature as Thunderbird reminds the last folder even over a restart of Thunderbird! So it can be that I haven't used Thunderbird for a week and then want to write a mail and press automatically CTRL+SHIFT+M and then a mail is moved to a folder I cannot remember. This behavior is very annoying!

1. Is there any way to change the keyboard shortcut? 2. If this keyboard shortcut cannot be changed or removed it should only work if a user already has moved a file in the current session of Thunderbird. The memory function over different Thunderbird sessions of this keyboard shortcut is not helpful at all. 3. Is there a way to show the previous target folder in Thunderbird? This would at least reduce the search for unwanted moving of mails.

Currently it is only possible for multiple identities in one account to use the same trash folder. I would like an option for defining a separate folder to which deleted messages of an alias are moved, just as there is this option for the "Sent" messages.

I've been using Thunderbird for 3 years now and the subscribe function has been working flawlessly. Today (16/04) however all the folders I unsubscribed to are now being shown and I can't seem to unsubscribe to them.

When I right click my IMAP email, click Subscribe and uncheck the folders I don't want nothing happens.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I download an extension from the Mozilla download site; I have tried 3 different ones so far. I select "Install Addon from file...". The result is ALWAYS "This addon cannot be installed because it appears to be corrupt."

What am I missing?

I've been using Thunderbird for years and had very few problems. I view and keep all my incoming and sent emails in date order, and move them to the relevant folders when they are dealt with. This morning my incoming emails also have other incoming emails, and my original sent email attached to them. I think this is called threading? but I have never set this up or asked for it, and don't even know how to do it. I'm finding this 'threading' is really annoying - I want all my emails separate and not joined or linked together. How do I disable this setting and stop all my emails joining together like this? I've looked at the help pages and the answers are too technical. I've tried the ones I can understand but they don't work. Can someone please send me a step by step solution to this? thank you Ray

I'm using a Mac Airbook with M1 chip, Monteray.

It is exceedingly frustrating to read the entire inboxes (8 email accounts) in tiny, tiny letters. Tried to upload screen shot but it didn't seem to work (just kept spinning).

I tried using the solution given by Toad-Hall here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1267898 But it didn't work.

I made the documents he said to make and put them in all 6 of my email profiles (i guess I have 6 profiles due to all the different email addresses in there?). But everything is still tiny, tiny letters. Very hard on the eyes.

When I go to view -> zoom, nothing gets bigger. The text within an individual email will enlarge, just not the text of the inboxes.

Please can you tell me a simple solution (I am not that techy and don't want to spend another 2 hours on fixing this) for how to get my thunderbird app to appear readable? Otherwise I think I will ruin my eyes! Thanks!

By the way even my excel and word items at 100% on the 13" screen are small. But I am able to enlarge that each time I open it.

Am trying to add Dropbox filelink to Thunderbird. I get the code from Dropbox and copy it but when I try to paste it to Thunderbird where it says code, nothing happens. I right click but no box appears offering a paste option. Have also tried Web DAV but when I click to save the addresses offered again nothing happens. Any ideas ? Am using W10 and thunderbird version updated Dec 2021

I have just started using Thunderbird (version 91.0.0) and I can't find a way to disable the irritating auto double spacing using the enter key. I have researched online and found lots of various answers to the same question (some years ago). Unfortunately, the processes suggested in the answers do not relate to what I am seeing on my computer. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Thanks.

I am having troubles with my signature formatting from particular recipients. I have attached pictures of what is is supposed to look like and when the spacing gets shrunk down to nothing.

This is an HTML signature, so that might have something to do with it but I don't know.

I want to make sure my signature looks the same every time but I don't want a plain text or image signature because I don't want the extra attachment with every email.

How can I get a mulit-formatted signature to look the same every time?

Is there an add-on for Thunderbird version 91 for importing emails from Windows Live Mail?

I tried "importexporttools-3.3.2" and it says it is has been corrupted, and besides it says it is for Thunderbird 14.0 - 60.

Why can't we have a "not junk" button? Am I missing it? Seems pretty standard in all mail programs. Or in the right-click menu? Yes, we can right-click and Move to Inbox, but that's three steps, as opposed to one.

My Gmail has thousands of messages on the server. I only want to keep the previous year (2021) and not import the rest of the messages.

How to I delete the entire batch before 2021 in Thunderbird and not affect the Gmail?

I am using the Imap setup.
