I'm using Firefox 130.00 on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) running Catalina (10.15.7). It has run flawlessly for years, but suddenly won't open, and only hangs, requiring me to Force Quit. It stopped working on Thursday, 9/12, which, I notice, was the day it was last modified with an automatic upgrade. I have quit and tried restarting multiple times, but am unable to get into it at all and, therefore, cannot access Troubleshooting Mode. I have NOT yet tried deleting it and downloading a fresh copy. I would like, if possible, to retain my open tabs, Bookmarks, and History.

Firefox (version 130.0.1 (64-bit)) is not playing audio through headphones. Have tried a number of sites - e.g. YouTube, internet radio stations, news sites.

However, unlike in the above-mentioned support article, the Windows App Volume and Device Preferences settings are set to default.

I have since also tried restarting my PC (Windows 10 ; Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.4651) and resetting the App Volume and Device Preferences to the Microsoft default settings (see Image attached).

I also tested and audio plays fine through Chrome browser, VLC media player, Teams and Edge.

Would love to find a solution! Thanks D

I can no longer open up the PGE web site to go to my account. When I try to log into PGE the page goes blank. It has been the last 2 months this issue has happened. It could be a security issue but I do not know how to fix it.

Firefox is my preferred browser. Lately however, I cannot log into my online banking account with PNC. When I insert my PNC log-in information...username and password.....I get a tab that reads "Challenge Validation" and the browser window says "Not Found". Just as an fyi, if I switch to Google Chrome I can log-in to my PNC online account.

Any help or suggestions to be able to use Firefox???

Hello- seriously doubt there is any help for this, but I can't be the only one this has happened to:

I wanted to delete the last 2 hours of a firefox session only- the session has been ongoing for a month, with 100 of what were - to me- important tabs open. Session Restore on FireFox was turned on and it always works.

But tonight, I wanted to delete only about last 2 hours of history. So I thought to use the FORGET button. I set the app to 'forget' the last 2 hours of browsing history. And hit the button. and: ALL tabs- All tabs- every one for last month- Gone in a blink. Gone.

Perhaps the onus is, at least inn part, on me: This exact issue happened to me before- but I guess i had cast that soul-killing memory out of my mind; at least, till a few years later, tonight, when it just happend again.

But- It's been years !! And the forget button is still a catastophic trap, still luring fools like me, hiding in plain sight as a button on FF toolbar. That's true- right on the toolbar is a helpful, harmless-looking button that can ruin your life.

A catastrophy that has been built into FireFox for years- and still not fixed.

I did think that if the button had a problem years ago - and in a different version of Windows [last time it happened I was using XP], must be fixed by now- Honestly- I did think that.

-Has anyone else experienced this utterly demoralizing experience with FireFox "forget"?

-Is there any hope to recover the last session? [There are NO Profiles at all now, saved in the "Profiles" folder]

Again- any hope? Anyone else have this problem?

It's been years! Why is this MAJOR minefield even still prosperng in Firefox?

Cannot print an e-mail. Message says it may be a popup blocker. Show me how to fix this or I will be forced to go to EDGE. It it not having this problem. I have looked in the forum and cannot find a solution. If you cannot help me just tell me to go to Microsoft Edge.

I am wondering is this an issue between Firefox and YouTube as I have three other browsers on my computer and YouTube works fine on them. I prefer the picture in picture option on Firefox. There was a browser update like 6 months ago and after that Youtube doesn't work properly. It loads the page itself but not the video and in the rare moment that the video loads it is at the lowest possible resolution and will play for only around 10 seconds before buffering again.

Can you please bring it back? If not, where can I find what's update in each new release?

how to revive return all 124 tbsof prior sessions ? in Firefox...older version ? please help. & How to avoid if close by mistake 1 window woth all vs 1-2 tabs only ?

Hello I was listening to a song from amazon music premium like usual but today the website updated and somehow it said the browser didn't support high quality songs... It didn't show it, but it seems it never supported hq music, is there a way to play it on the best quality or is it a limitation on firefox's part? How can I fix it if it's just an error?

To whom it may concern, My firefox on a Mac running 14.7.1 crashes on every site that I try to access. It goes to the below image that states "gah, etc". I have sent in mutliple crash reports and followed the troubleshooting on the forums. Steps followed so far -Restarted Firefox -Restarted Mac - Cleared Cache and temporary files -Cleared startup cache -disabled extensions -refreshed firefox -upgraded Mac OS

My next option seems to be to uninstall the programs and reinstall it, but I am worried about losing all saved information including passwords, bookmarks, etc. I cannot even access mozilla's site nor the ability to turn sync on.

Youtube videos and Twitch live streams are freezing and whenever I refresh the page the video/live stream is just black. The audio still continues to play and I have no idea what is causing it. I only have 3 extensions installed (Ublock Origin, Youtube Sponsor Block, and Truffle) and have even tried removing them to no success. The only way to fix it has been to close and reopen Firefox, but it usually doesn't fix it for long. Its even started crashing any games I've been playing when I close Firefox. I'll try to get a video to show the issue.

I have windows 10, I have 2 browsers. google Chrome and Firefox. when I go to certain sights they say I have an ad blocker, I can not find one on chrome and looked here? I don't know why they don't show up if I have one? help
