I have saved relevant e mails to local folders in my Thunderbird account on my Applemac. I opened up Thunderbird on my MacBook and downloaded my Thunderbird account but it did not copy those local folders, merely 1 empty folder. Without these also shown in my Thunderbird account when I am away from home, I cannot see those records. I am struggling to find a solution. Are you able to help please? Alan Dowler

I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird for decades and they have even contributed a small amount of money to Thunderbird periodically. Just within the last two or three days all of a sudden I have been unable to send emails with my phone. I receive emails, but I do not send them.

So I opened up a laptop where I did not have Thunderbird and set it up properly through Spectrum using the incoming and outgoing servers as mail.twc.com. and yes, just like on my phone. I continue to receive new emails, but even with the laptop I was unable to send an email.

I received the message"send message error sending a message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to outgoing server smtp mail.twc.com was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again."

I contacted Spectrum twice and both times they had me try to send a message through their Web server spectrum.net and that message did go through. Of course then their response is that this has to be a problem with the third-party app meaning Mozilla Thunderbird, and they can’t help with that at all. I sure would appreciate some help because I hate to walk away from Thunderbird as well as change my email address after all of these decades.

I have no idea what is happening. Whenever I try to use youtube on firefox the site just freezes. I can still scroll up and down, but nothing that wasn't already loaded loads, I can't click on anything, and nothing except scrolling does anything.

The reload, home, and even screenshot buttons don't work in these frozen youtube tabs. The only way to do anything is to open a new tab and close the frozen youtube one.

Youtube is completely unusable because of this.

I turned off every single addon, I restarted firefox, I restarted the entire computer, I tried in a private tab. It still freezes every time.

I don't have a VPN, I do not have the problem on any other website (even other media-players), and I don't have a clue what is happening.

I do have youtube premium.

Any help would be appreciated. I need to watch stuff for my studies but I just can't

hi today thunderbird started showing yahoo popup login and after adding credentials i always get "something went wrong.We could not sign you in. Try again from a different device." Also popup once closed it opens instantly.

i can sign in normally from browser. thunderbird version is 147

is there any fix about this?

I've been using Thunderbird for years but suddenly as of yesterday it's stopped receiving messages. First it told me my password was incorrect. Ever since then when I try to click "Get Messages," it simply has no response at all. Nothing happens. I went into my Thunderbird password settings, and upon seeing that the incoming-message password had for some reason reverted to an old, obsolete password, I corrected it and saved the correct one. I've checked several times and the passwords are correctly saved now. But this did not fix the problem. When I click "Get Messages," nothing happens. My Thunderbird is connected to my Earthlink account, which is working fine. When I go into Earthlink, I am able to send and receive messages as normal. So the problem is not with Earthlink but with Thunderbird.

Hello. I am trying to add a new provider, which means adding a new account. When I click "Add new account" it takes me to a page that asks me to enter my existing account. Does this mean the currently running account or the new account?

The File (saving to a folder) Recent function used to have the folders alphabetically. Some genius thought to reorganize the Recent folders to be in chronological order. Is there a setting to have the Recent folders be in alphabetical order again? I could not find anything. Thanks in advance.

The tree I made for LOCAL/SUBFOLDERS...is now IN A CRAZY .mst unreadable computer language. I need all the files contained in this tree to go back to readable. Gerry

This is absolutely insane. I set up a email account(also did about a year ago) and I can not get back to my mail. Why in gods name is it so difficult? I have multiple email accounts with most all the major email websites and this one is utterly impossible to use. I just keep ending up in the same spot with no information to help get out of the endless circle. I don't even know if I could find my way back to here. I will give you my email address to try and get something more constructive than the past two days. I want to make mozilla products my main users for all my different platforms to simplify my life but I am having my doubts about thunderbird. So far it is a useless time waster. I'm shocked that this is under the Mozilla name. I normally associate Mozilla with high quality, easy to use products. When following a link from a news website I keep getting this message - Secure Connection Failed - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. It loads on my iPhone and other browsers using the same link. What setting do I need to address to get this to stop?

I love the browser and use it daily with Android phone and Linux laptop.

Concerning the new Android version, it is great. But please, bring back the select all tabs function. I like to save and backup my tabs by sharing them externally, and selecting them one by one is a very slow process.

Gentlemen, isn't your browser using a lot of RAM? I've been freaking out about it in recent years. That's only with 25 tabs open!! Despite the fact that the system was installed just a day ago, without any tweaks!!!

I did Edit - Find - Search Messages and then Edit - Find- Global Search and searched for messages. Now all the e-mails in my Inbox disappeared. What can I do? Thank you.

We have a intranet site that works in Edge and Chrome without issues with the site added to "internet options". But for some reason we are getting 401 Unauthorized when trying to access it from Firefox. I need some help! Thunderbird used to have archive settings in which I could choose to save my e-mails locally in my archive folders with 1 file per 1 email and not everything that's in a folder saved to a single file.

How can I get this back? Is there some hidden settings that can be accessed to get it done?

I need every email in one file! I'm going nuts trying to sort years of e-mail duplicates. If I can have a file per message, then I can at least use my PC duplicate file program to compare file content and find the similar ones. But with everything of one folder in the same archive file I'll be cursed to have to manually go through thousands of e-mails by hand! So if there is a way to return the previous archive format (*wdseml files??, it seems?) then I want to know how to set that setting.

Alternatively a local folder duplicate e-mail cleaning tool? There used to be some but I couldn't get it to work now!

Hi. Somehow, in Thunderbird Mail, I moved the "Bulk" folder into the "Trash" folder and now I can't reverse that. Some of my mail is going to the "Bulk" folder and I'm forgetting to check that, thus missing emails. Is there a way to move that "Bulk" folder back where it belongs? thanks in advance

Dell desktop running Mint Mate 22. Bookmarks missing about 50% of bootups. Saved bookmarks to both HTML and JSON during an occasion they did appear, when they next were missing attempted to restore them via Library pop-up (Manage bookmarks). I could not determine a path to direct the system to either locally saved file. In Library, selected Restore, which then asks me to choose file, but none of the data fields accepted or acted upon input. re-installed Firefox but same result. Then clicked on the saved HTML file, multiple screens flashed on the display, with multiple items in the tray. The final result was the bookmarks were all displayed as expected, but since the problem has been inconsistent, unknown whether they will display on future bootups.

Wish to have guidance on using the Library pop-up to restore saved bookmarks when they are missing. Perhaps some knowledgeable user could post a step-by-step through the restore process.
