I'm using Firefox 28. I was cruising along just fine, in the middle of USING Firefox, when suddenly my tabs are no longer below the navbars where they were, but up on top. (I didn't change anything. They just moved.)

Since that same time, Firefox is not keeping me logged into any of the sites I'm usually logged into. For instance, my own blog - every time I go back to edit my blog I have to log in again. It usually leaves me logged in unless/until I reboot the computer.

Any ideas what happened or how I should fix it?

Hello @a2jc4life

Have you tried reseting Firefox? It will reset your browser to factory settings, while keeping your essential data like passwords, tabs and bookmarks. See Reset Firefox for instructions on, well, resetting Firefox.

Also, note that Firefox has a new version available (29). It might be a good idea to do an update as well. Perhaps that will fix all your problems instead.

I hope this helps.

I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and
add-ons were changed / reset. Try this; Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Then check ALL of your settings. Browser and add-ons. Then restart.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
