You're running Firefox 29 (Beta) and will be released to the public tomorrow. v29 doesn't have the orange Firefox button as of that same version. Also, the orange Firefox button has been a part of Firefox since version 4 so I don't know why you're just noticing it.

Why the fook does FF force install beta software? That is one of the worst things a programmer can do. I never asked for this downgrade and i never asked forth that ugly ass button to be turned on. I have FF set the way the --> I <-- want to use it Stop fooking with my interface because you think it looks cooler...

BTW no I will not be getting the release tomorrow. I upgraded form 29to 28 and turned off the forced installs. Like many people I prefer a clean UI like this...

What version you have could be a beta build as Firefox is not officially released on mozilla.org until April 29 if all goes well though some sites may have jumped the gun if they grabbed the initial release file from ftp.

Also note that one of the main things done in a Release is security fixes as Firefox 28.0 will not have fixes that 29.0 will have when released. http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html

Also the majority of people posting here do not work on on any version of Firefox or Thunderbird nor work for Mozilla.

Firefox didn't install the beta software on its own nor can it even do that. You must've made the jump from the 'release' channel to the 'beta' channel somehow.

Mozilla doesn't mess around with your configuration settings nor does it want to.

Okay then. Your choice.

It seems like you've been writing in about Firefox 29 a lot considering you made the jump yourself (or inadvertently) whilst blaming Mozilla for forcing this update on you. You can simply opt out of the Beta, download whatever version your heart desires, and disable automatic updates. Simple. Be aware that as more Firefox versions get pushed out, the one you are using now will become severely outdated and be more susceptible to security holes that have been patched in future versions.

I didn't do a damn thing. FF ran the auto install and it picked a beta version of the software. I didn't jump anything at all. Someone in the FF food chain released a beta version into the normal update channel is what happened.

None of that changes the fact that the powers that be have decided to turn the software into chrome-2 and have adopted a microsoft programming strategy of 'we will force people to use this software the way WE want it to be used and the way WE want it to look and feel. The big reason people like(d) FF is that it allowed them to set it up the way they wanted. With each new version of FF the development team has gotten further and further way form that policy. Tis sad.

James I always have the menu visible. I personally do not see how anyone can use software sand choose to have to make extra clicks to get anyhtign done (which happens when menus are off). This new downgrade to 29 reset all of my options and for many there is no way to get them back. In this instances, I turned on the menu but the ugly ass orange blog is still there.
