adobe flashplayer is not working or showing in ad-ons list

I have, I think , the latest version of FireFox & the latest Flashplayer. I cannot get Flashplayer to work. It was working before, but then it stopped working. when I uninstalled FireFox plus all of my bookmarks, personal info, etc because I couldn't stop 'no address' pop-up tabs and windows. That just started happening after NO changes in FireFox. Even though I had uninstalled and re-installed FireFox several times saving my personal preferences.

Your More System Details shows:

(1) You have the Flash 12 plugin, a current version that should work.

(2) You have an extension named Flashblock which will stop Flash from running automatically until you approve it.

If you want to change your Flashblock options, disable it, or remove it, you can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when you find FlashBlock, either use its Options, or Disable, or Remove, as you prefer.

(After disabling an extension, the next time you load the Add-ons page, it will have moved to the bottom of the list on a gray background.)

Does that resolve it?

You also have a bunch of other Flash-related and media-related extensions I don't recognize. If you don't recall installing these, do you share your computer with anyone?

Also make sure that other content blocking extensions like Adblock Plus aren't blocking content.

I still have a problem with flashplayer and unwanted, unidentified pop-ups

To see whether ANY of your extensions is the culprit, try browsing in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash and other plugins still run)

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?
