Did the update, now most of my add-ons are gone and when I try to reinstall them nothing happens, How do I get them back?

Tried with multiples add-ons, not one of them appeared on the add-ons menu so it's not a problem of just enabling them.

Hello,

Sorry to hear that the addons were not migrated after the upgrade. I did update Firefox to 26.0 and my addons were restored without any issues (both on Linux and Windows) and will try to help you in restoring the addons.

I see that you are running Firefox 26.0. Can you please let us know what was the version of Firefox earlier? Are you able to see the plugins properly, while we try to figure out why the addons are having an issue.

Would you be ok to attach the update log files from this location C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\updates\<long string>\updates. If the log files show any errors, that will give more information.

Others in the community can add any more information to help troubleshoot this issue.

Thank you

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.

If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js and user.js files to reset all prefs to the default value.
