My homepage and tab are hijacked by tw.hoa123. I've tried clearing the registry, resetting about:config, scanning with malwarebytes, but none of them solves the problem. I also found these files in my computer.

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#tw.hao123.com\settings.sol

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\XV5HUPP9\tw.hao123.com\static\web\base\swf\LocalStorage.swf\$hao123$.sol

They just keep coming out every time i start firefox, no matter I have them removed. Would someone help me solving this? Thanks in advance.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't work. I tried it before opening this topic, also checked the target in the shortcut. Used CCleaner to analyze and clean, found nothing unusual in msconfig ( or I just don't know what to look for ). Problem still exists after reinstalling Firefox.
