Since upgrading to Firefox v.18, e-mail messages which are particularly long (Gizmag for example) are displayed over the bottom "tool bar" (Delete, Reply, Forward, Spam, Move) in Rogers Yahoo! Mail Classic.

There seems to be a threshold at which the fixed elements of the page like the bottom tool bar will not extend which did not exist in Firefox v.12 which was the version of Firefox I was using until I upgraded three days ago which is when this problem started.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Is there a way to save my settings in case this does not work so I can restore Firefox back to its current state?

all your settings will be saved to your desktop, and anyway all your bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. are transfered to when you reset.

No, that did not fix the problem.

Do I restore my previous settings by pasting the contents of the folder created by the Firefox reset into the profile folder?
