I had Firefox and when the update version came out it deleted it to my computer now I cannot download it help

I was using firefox for my school work. Then one day I could not get it to open or come up so I thought it needed to update and when that happened. My computer says that I do not have it on my computer. then I deleted all the icons and files that I saw that went with Firefox. No when I try to download it the computer tells me that it needs to close before it can finish. but when I close it it stops the process. I need help.

Try the following:

  1. Go to Start > Run, enter %PROGRAMFILES% in the textbox and press Enter. An Explorer window should open.
  2. In the Explorer window, see if you can find a Mozilla Firefox folder. If you do, right-click it and select Delete. Confirm that you want to move the folder to the trash.

Then Restart your Computer, then reinstall firefox.

When I did what you said to do a window did come up but it was not internet explorer it was computer local disk program files. IS this what suppose to come up or not? I still need more help!

Hi roro50, yes, as Tylerdowner said "....An Explorer window should open". not internet explorer. Go, follow the steps Tylerdowner gave us.
