My address bar doesn't "go"

The address bar at the top of the browser window doesn't work. It displays the address of the page I'm on just fine, but when I type in an address and hit either "enter" or the little "go to this address" forward arrow, nothing happens. In addition, the arrow is always grayed out.

It doesn't have anything to do with the address being invalid, as it happens even if I copy an address from a page I was on previously (which I did just to check).

Oh good, it looks like Firefox 3 Aero theme for Firefox 4+ 2.0.0 which is by the same person as the theme I was using and looks almost the same as "Firefox 3 Theme" does not cause this problem, which means its fixed. Wunderbar!

Ok, let's see if this is an add-on that could be causing the problem.

Start Firefox up in Safe Mode, try to type something in the address bar, and see if it works. If it does, then this is likely just an extension causing the problem. Try starting Firefox in normal mode, and go to the Firefox button, and click on Add-ons, then extensions. Disable the extensions listed there one by one until you find the troublemaker.

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It looks like its caused by the theme, Firefox 3 theme for Firefox 4+ 2.0.0, I'm gonna see if there's an alternative theme that doesn't cause those problems (because the default is really ugly)
