I have FireFox 8.0.1 installed on my computer. I use GMail for my email. My GMail program keeps telling me I do not have the latest version of FireFox installed and that I am using an older version. My GMail program is not working right since my last update of FireFox. Is there a fix for this problem?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) FBSMTWB

Your user agent is stuck at Firefox 3.5.2 due to a extension during when you had 3.5.2 and it tacked on FBSMTWB' on end and kept it from updating the version number. This was due to the "Fast Browser Search toolbar" extension (FBSMTWB). This issue is not a problem with Firefox 4.0 and newer.

See this on how to reset it to normal. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/websites%20or%20add-ons%20incorrectly%20report%20incompatible%20browser#w_reset-your-user-agent
