Why can't I open anything in a new window? Also, the return button in the firefox browser is inactive. I don't like the tab function and would like to use the "new window" function.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
