After upgrading to the latest Firefox, I find I cannot close it. the "X" does not work and it tells me I have to close another "firefox" or restart my computer.

Every time I tried to finish to download of the new version of Firefox, it told me "server not found". So I may not have finished the process. I have Win7 . I am basically a computer illiterate so if you can "Fix" this, please provide the KISS version. Thanks

If you run Firefox in full screen mode then press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle (Mac: command+Shift+F).

Try File > Exit or Firefox > Exit to close Firefox.

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
