Not sure what you mean by cancel your history, but I probably don't know the answer to that anyway;

You can use the Import... under the File menu instead of the one in the Library list to import more than just your IE Favorites.

After importing your favorites will see an Internet Explorer folder added to the end of your Bookmarks Menu folder. Importing does not merge, replace or update existing bookmarks and folders -- it just adds them as they were to the end of your Bookmarks Menu. Good reason not to sort bookmarks automatically, which is an option in the "SortPlaces" extension.

You can move things around afterwards and delete what you don't want. You will probably want to move the bookmarks and folders from your IE bookmarks toolbar (Favorites Bar) into your Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar.

Use the "Alt" key to temporarily show the the menus, then you can then see the "File" menu item on the menu bar.

For orientation with Firefox 4 and up (Firefox 4 is unsupported, Firefox 5 is current), for instance use of "Alt" key is item #2 in the following ....

You can make Firefox Firefox 5.0 look like Firefox 3.6.19, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 5.0, or 4.0.1, look like 3.6). Whether or not you make changes, you should be aware of what has changed and what you have to do to use changed or missing features.

Not sure what you mean by cancelling history.

To prevent history from being saved you have "Private Browsing", in private browsing your browsing history will not be saved which would interfere with use of the Awesome Bar (internal search from the location bar), and your cookies, forms data, passwords, bookmarks not already stored would be lost from from current session. If you can rephrase that part of the question that could be answered as well.

I can't seem to get an active "import" button in the "file" area, even if I press the alt key. The IMPORT option simply does not work. Help!
