IT crashes on startup but in safe mode with plugins stopped , it opens. Can you help?
Have a new Toshiba X500 laptop taken back to factory reset. Installed Firefox but as before, it crashes on startup.. Tried this in Firefox safe mode and ticked to stop addons.. Firefox then started. Obviously its useless like this. Can you advise a way forward. I really want Firefox as my browser..

As it works in safe mode it indicates there may be a problem with an add-on. When starting in safe mode, select the option "Disable all add-ons" then click "Make changes and restart". Now see if Firefox starts OK in normal mode. If it does, go to the add-ons manager (in the Tools menu select Add-ons), then re-enable one of the extensions and re-start Firefox. Keep on doing this until Firefox crashes, that will tell you what one is causing the problem.

Thank you so much for your reply.. Yes, I realised it was probably an addon problem and had decided to progress in the manner suggested.. Wasn't sure if and where to introduce addons but you have kindly helped... Thanks again and may I wish all, a very happy Christmas..
