Help, my cookies began not working over a month ago. Any changes to the options->privacy panel do not take affect. (Have tried to remmber history and not use custom). Logins requiring cookies are failing. cookies.sqlite and cookies.sqlite-journal are both dated over a month ago. Also Firefox startup now takes about a full two minutes, frequent actions cause window to go translucent for extended periods of time - appears that java scripts hang up for a good while.

- Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode
- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
