Same problem here. It happened almost randomly in the last week... often it is ok, but suddenly this behavior emerges. After a while all is good again.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions. You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

I have had this problem for over a week now -- more than 50% of the time at this point. I haven't added any new add-ons to firefox in months.

It's basically made facebook completely unusable for me from firefox. I have to use it in MSIE or some other browser. If I try to open any facebook page in FireFox at all, it just refreshes constantly and facebook is unusable.

Extensions can update at any time and it is always possible that an updated extension isn't working properly anymore. So you need to check that. See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

I have the same problem at it renders facebook unusable. Rebooting my computer or firefox has no effect on it. I doubt that it is any of my addons as the only one that updated in the last week I uninstalled because I was unhappy with it, TACO With Albine.

I started firefox up in safemode and then went to facebook. Within 1 minute, the page reload that I've been noticing happened again. All I'm doing is looking at my facebook wall and it refreshes.

The problem is with the "SocialReviver" add-on.

After a certain update it runs, it starts giving you problems (ie: refreshing facebook constantly).

Just disable it, restart Firefox and you are back to normal.

This works for me, so if you dont have the add-on installed, try remember which add-on updated lately and disable it and then it should work, or until you find the one giving you the problems.. TROUBLESHOOTING 101 people!!
