I downloaded. I donated. Then a screen come up with an envelope and some love hearts saying "one more step". But there is no indication as to what that step is or how to take that step! How does one install this program?

Perhaps post an image of what you are seeing. I for one have not installed Thunderbird for a long time, but it was painless the last time I did it.
