You keep getting the first pop up because something is not authenticated to google that needs to be. be it a mail account, address book or calendar.

Try going to the Troubleshooting information on Thunderbird help menu and clicking the clear startup cache on the right of the screen. Apparently 400 error are most commonly caused by corrupt files in the cache, per my google search.

Did the same email address get listed? (although it could occur multiple time if you have multiple items and none of them are authenticated on the initial attempt, each may try the authentication and sort of stack them up.
