Problems getting Optimum email

more options

Went into Thunderbird-64 on a Win 7-64 box Monday and sent some emails noticing that it had upgraded itself to Version 115.3.1 .As the day wore on, I noticed that I was getting any new e-mails so I logged into the ISPs web site and saw several emails sitting in my in-box. Went back to TB and tried downloading them and nothing,no warning messages,no indication of a problem, no pop-ups. Rebooted and tried again. No luck

Port is set to 587. Any suggestions ?

Clarification:

Talked to Tech Support earlier .... I have 2 computers in the same room. As everything is identical in the settings, do not understand why PC No. 1 stopped working. Everything is identical settings wise. Optimum gives out a telephone for Thunderbird support, as expected it was not functional :)

PC No. 1 - Can not receive e-mails since 3:42 on 09/29

What is the antivirus on the 2 computers?

See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14962639#p14962639

Kaspersky ... as it has been for the last 4-5 years,no change and no updates ...and same problem when disabled. However since then. I can not send or receive and wants a password ...when typed in,it just get the spinning arrow thing. As for the settings link ...I used several of those to check before posting. However, over there I could not use the same login information as it says username is outdated...it's not outdated here.

Anyone ? Again the settings used are the ones I took off links in this forum... AV was disabled so that's not it.
