I have two domains: "beyondcentralpark.com" and "papabearnewyork.com". The former generally displays pages at 90% of the screen but starting yesterday they display at about 60%. The Google Chrome browser does not have this problem.

A sample page is "https://beyondcentralpark.com/ChristmasLetter2022.html"

Now they are too wide. 90% was the amount within the page.

Display the sample page "https://beyondcentralpark.com/ChristmasLetter2022.html" with the Chrome browser to see the proper display

Questions:

  • * * Why did it start yesterday. We've been using this html software for years
  • * * Why Firefox but not Chrome
  • * * Why "beyondcentralpark.com" domain.
  • * "papabearnewyork.com" domain has no gray area around these so we don't see the issue.

It was my mistake saying it was 90% of the page. It was 90% within the page. There is a gray background and the yellow area extends 1200 px until the window is shrunk and then it extends proportionally. When I build these web pages on my computer (using Firefox) it looks fine but on-line is where I see the problem.

We are still at the half-way point. After the first problem report you evidently did something but because of my description of the problem you made the pages too wide.

It was my mistake saying it was 90% of the page. It was 90% within the yellow portion of the page. There is a gray background and the yellow area extends 1200px until the window is shrunk and then it extends proportionally. When I build these web pages on my computer (using Firefox) it looks fine but on-line is where I see the problem.

So if you can do something again set the yellow area to 1200px and proportionally for displays less then 1200 px. My questions are:

  • Did Something happen yesterday to cause the problem? I've been running this software for years without a problem
  • Why does Chrome work.
  • My very top line of the software is: . Is that a problem?

Thank you for your work on this problem, Richard Garland papabear.newyork@gmail.com
