Bookmarks Are Gone

I am using Firefox portable. I received a prompt that an update was available, so I downloaded it. Now, ALL of my bookmarks disappeared. The version it downloaded is 105.0.3

I'm VERY not happy ! * I had 100's of bookmarks !! If there had been a way to turn off updates, I would have done it a long time ago.

I assume there isn't any way to retrieve them ??

Never Mind. I closed the browser, then reopened it and they reappeared. I still wish there was a way to turn off update notifications.
