Hi, since we have installed Version 100 (100.01 or 100.02) we cannot open the Settings or the AddOns / Themes page. Nothing happens. Also the "about:config" dosn`t work. On the other hand, it works fine, when we are in the trobleshoot mode.

We have no policies There is no policies.json Same Prolem in x86 or x64 Version

We have no idea, where the problem can be

Greetings Manfred

If the problem does not happen in Troubleshoot Mode, the most likely cause is an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. See this article for solutions:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems (also deals with hardware acceleration)

Hi Terry, thanks for the quick response. No change.... I have disabled hardware acceleration and there are no AddOns or Themes installed. Before i have installed the new Version, i have cleaned everything Registry (HKLM & HKCU) program directory AppData (local & roaming) It`s still the same problem. It´s not possible to open Settings or AddOns & Themes. Only when i switch to Troubleshoot mode Greetings Manfred

Hi Terry, i can`t create a new profile like this. When i do „about:profiles“ nothing happens. The same problem as about:config or about :preferences But anyway - i have a clean new profile – before i installed FF 100.x i cleaned everything on my workstation (Userprofile, ProgramData, etc., etc.) How can i send you my trobleshooting Infos Raw/Text?. They are too big to post it here and here is no function to upload a file.

You can create a new (Firefox) profile while Firefox is closed.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles#w_start-the-profile-manager-when-firefox-is-closed

I couldn't do anything with all the troubleshooting information. I wouldn't provide it unless someone asks. The simplest way is probably to use pastebin. com and provide a link. Really, a new profile is the fastest method.

Are there also no extensions showing when you start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode ?

Do you possibly have a userChrome.css file in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder that could be causing this issue ?

More info about userContent.css and userChrome.css in case you are not familiar: *https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html

Another option is to try a different user account.

Hi Terry, i tested FF with 2 User-Accounts: my "normal" working account and my Admin-Account (account where i can install software or change local configs.

When i start FF in TS-mode, i see two AddOns (see uploaded pic) Both are disabled/ not active I see no funktion to unInstall these AddIns.

No, i have no chrome.css in the FF profile folder

more options

Those add-ons are plug-ins which come with Firefox and are active, I believe, when required. Is there any security or other software which could be causing the problem?

I don't understand the significance but could it be Visual C++?
