I never used a password for Thunderbird email, however, I recently uploaded a Norton recommended driver change and now I cannot Get Messages or send because it asks for a password. I never established a password so I have no idea how to get past this security. How can I change my password if I don't know the original password? I even tried deleting Thunderbird and redownloaded it, but the same message appears. Help!

Thank you,

generally Thunderbird saves your passwords and uses them as required to get and send mail. When something breaks the process it asks for a password. I would be looking to Norton as a probably cause of failure. Most likely their software firewall which will routinely block Thunderbird post and point update (monthly)
