I copy some words outside firefox and the words pasted in the searching box are totally different. It's annoying. Why does this happen? How can I get over it? I really need your help as I am a dedicated firefox user. Thank you.

By "searching box" do you mean the search bar in the middle of a page or the address bar at the top? I use a separate search bar and have no such problem.

Can you give an example?

Hi terry21, thank you for your response.

This problem exists as long as I copy and paste, no matter where I paste those words in Firefox. For example, I copy "self-categorization theory" from a pdf file to search related papers in Google Scholar. When I press "ctrl+V" the words pasted become "and". I copy "organizational membership" from another pdf file, words pasted in Google Search become "organizational". It doesn't make sense.

Hi cor-el, thank you for your response.

I have attached several screenshots of my copy and paste. As you can see, I copied "demographic diversity" from a pdf file and words pasted in Google Search and Google Scholar were "diversity". I am pretty sure that I copied "demographic diversity" as a whole because I also pasted the words in a text file and it's all good.
