Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You may have once saved a files to a drive that no longer is available causing the OS to hang.

Did you wait longer (a few minutes) to see if this blocking times out and your computer no longer is blocked ?

You can possibly try to clear the involved MRU lists. I don't know if this registry key is still the same in Windows 10.
