Hi All,

I'm not getting emails on my laptop since I either clicked the wrong thing when given the choices on security certificates or when I switched to another host. The gent who's doing the new hosting suggests it'd be best to delete Thunderbird and reinstall it, but I'm scared of losing all my address book, email, history etc. but might have to live with it. However, I can still receive emails on my phone.

I'm not a natural on IT, but once I'm shown the correct thing to do I'm not a numbskull either.

Anyone been this way before or has some simple and effective advice, thanks for taking the time to respond.

DB

tell the guy that told you to delete your Thunderbird that doing so could loose all your mail and contact but is almost 100% unlikely to do anything useful. This is not a Microsoft product with everything in the say of settings stored in the registry and reset on reinstall.

Try going to options/preferences and searching for cert. Click the manage certificates button and then the Servers tab. If you made a wrong decision it will be shown there.
