Downloaded Thunderbird but nothing has happened

Hello. I downloaded Thunderbird (having uninstalled previous version). I rebooted my machine to clear the old one out as advised by the pop up. I have not got any proof hat Thunderbird downloaded. I did it again but same thing happened.

How can I get Thunderbird to install and run?

You have to double click the file you downloaded to run the installer.

Hi Matt Thank you but where is that file? How do I double click it if its a file in a folder? I am not that computer savvy - so not really sure what you are referring to. Double clicks to me usually are on icons not files.

The Thunderbird Install video and instructions just go through as if its a normal download and give the impression it automatically sorts everything out for you. Nothing happens

When the process asks to reboot to ensure no remain Thunderbird files from previous installation, nothing happens when it has rebooted.

Any further information would be appreciated
