Has it always been iffy?

Takes too long to load.

Using the feature to create your own password, sometimes it does and on some websites it doesn't open at all. Also, why hasn't it been updated to reflect the use of special characters?

Thank you.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Really, that simple?

I will try it.

Thank you.

When you let Firefox generate a password then you are always presented with a dialog to inspect this password and possibly add symbols and other special characters before saving the password.

You can try to set signon.includeOtherSubdomainsInLookup = false on the about:config page to see if that makes loading logins faster.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

The ability to add a password does not always pop up, but of course I know you can add other characters. I do it often. Some addons are updated, but I guess this developer doesn't feel the need to because of the ability to do it yourself.

Changed about:config to false. Will see if that makes a difference.

Thank you, cor-el.
